When the spring breeze gently caresses Anqing City, this historical and cultural city gradually unfolds its unique charm, presenting a magnificent and exquisite scene that is truly like a poetic painting. From April 12th to 13th, the National Education Expert Li Zhenxi's Special Report Meeting on the Era of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the National Summit on Enhancing the Competence of Middle (Secondary) School Class Directors were held in Anqing. Accordingly, our school actively organized teachers to participate in the training and learning.
In the first place, teacher Li Zhenxi took his own growth experience as the contents to expound on the main factors conducive to upward progress on the road of teacher growth, such as key figures, key events and key books. Also, he advised the teachers to understand that they should respect and study every child, and in the meantime, read widely, keep writing, be a complete person and an intellectual, in addition to never forgetting the original intention of education and keep growing.
In the second place, teacher Ma Yanxin delivered the lecture from three aspects: AI and its foundation in enabling cognition, practical application of AI enabling head teachers, and endowing AI with emotions and warmth. Moreover, she demonstrated on-site the practical application of AI technology in class management affairs, such as table-making, case diagnosis, and class meeting design. Besides, Ma Yanxin mentioned the innovative applications of AI technology in class activities and class culture construction, which made the attending teachers deeply realize the remarkable effectiveness of AI in assisting class management work and optimizing work processes.
In the third place, teacher Wang Danfeng took her own experience of leading classes as the starting point, and deeply analyzed the significance and practical methods of class culture construction, pointing out that class culture is the soul of the class and the core of its cohesion. Furthermore, she proposed the concept that ‘a good system is the root of class culture, a good image is its appearance, and a good spirit is its soul.’ Meanwhile, Wang Danfeng took the class committee election, class uniform design, class song and class emblem design, class art performance, collective birthday celebration, wish cards and other practical methods and strategies as examples to help everyone better understand how to build the class culture brand with soft power.
Last but not the least, teacher Guo Wenhong took the confusion encountered in her daily work as a head teacher as the starting point to deeply interpret the concept of home-school collaboration for mutual education, emphasizing the significant role of home-school collaboration, and pointing out that family is the first school for children and that parents are their first teachers. Evidently, only when home and school work closely together and form a powerful educational synergy can we safeguard children's healthy growth. More noticeably, Guo Wenhong illustrated and shared a great many practical strategies for communication between home and school through case studies, such as guiding in a reasonable way and enhancing understanding; teaching by example and setting a good model as well as building platforms and promoting growth.
In conclusion, education is a beautiful encounter where students, teachers, families and schools are all important participants. Thus, in the era of AI, while nurturing every child with love and responsibility, head teachers should proactively embrace new technologies, enabling technology to empower educational practice and research, and allowing the flower of happiness to bloom in every family and every school!
